I downloaded Outlook 2003 updates today, and now I am
getting the msg: A program is trying to access email
addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow
this? etc...
Both of my computer just started doing this. I downloaded
updates on both this am. I have XP pro on one and 2K pro
on the other.
Is there a bug in the update?

1) Don't use Word as your Email editor.
2) Locate the add-in you're using that doesn't adhere to the Microsoft
security model and disable it. Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options>Add-in
Manager or COM Add-ins

Brian, I did exactly what you suggested and now I can't
start outlook. It has a serious fatal error meggage and
asked if I wanted to unto the changes in the add on. I
said yes, and now it will not even START!!!

I can't even open it to make a change!

Perhaps you disabled more than the one extention. Try repairing the
installation on Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. Try creating a new mail
profile. Try deleting extend.dat in the folder %USERPROFILE%\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook. Sorry for the additonal problem. I've never heard
of that happening.
