I am running Outlook 2000 on a number of workstations over an Exchange
Server. On one computer, everytime the user logs onto Outlook, a window pops
up saying "Another version of outlook was installed on your machine prior to
installing outlook 2000. Did you use that version of Outlook to read
electronic mail?" and then "Answer Yes to allow Outlook 2000 to use the same
configuration as the previously installed version of Outlook." - Outlook 97
had previously been installed on the PC.
I found this page on the microsoft website
-http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;222343
According to this page, the correct answer to fix the problem is just by
clicking "Yes". Outlook runs properly after that, but the windows still pops
up when the user starts Outlook 2000.
Does anyone know of a way to stop this?
