I'm using Outlook 2000 SR1.
When I launch Outlook I get two successive error messages that I have
to clear before I can use the program.
Each error message says that a specific dll file is "not a valid
Office add-in"...The two .dll files that are referenced are:
outback.dll and SBCMSYNC.dll
Would appreciate suggestions, with thanks.

If Outlook continues to load and function without a hitch
after you clear these messages, you may consider searching
your HD for these .dll files and moving them to the
recycle bin. They may have been placed there by a virus or
spyware program. If you still get the message, you may
wish to search the registry for an entry that's
referencing these two files and delete it as well.

In Outlook, select Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options | Add-in
manager

Do you see any add-ins listed/checked? I believe the outback one is the
Outlook PST backup utility. If there is something like that listed, clear
the check box. Also, check for an entry labeled Outlook Sync and clear that
one as well. When finished, OK out of the options Windows and restart
Outlook.

Neither of these files can be found on a hard drive search.
There is no reference to either .dll in Add-in Manager.
Should I re-install Outlook?
Thanks
