Outlook Error (550 Authentication Error)

I am getting the following error:
"550 - Authentication turned on in your email client"
on just a few people I send emails to.

I tried with and without smtp authentication turned
on...same results either way. I can reboot my system and
eventually it will go out.

The majority of emails go out fine, but the occasional
one comes back and usually to the same email addresses.

I have two email accounts thru Outlook and everything
goes out fine on the other account thru the same ISP.

I can receive on both accounts with no problem.

Any ideas?

What version of Outlook do you have? Is there a typo in the error message
you give, or is the server really complaining that authentication is turned
*on*? (Usually the problem is that it's off!) Could you turn on diagnostic
logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file (preferably as an attachment) after you get this
message?
