At my office - emails in outlook 2003 that are sent to a public folder
viewable by all are defaulted as a "post to discussion" which removes the
ability to reply to all. Is there any setting to make these emails appear
just like a regular inbox. My It department says no but there has got to be
a way. Any help or infor would be greatly appreciated.

What version of Exchange? The solution may depend on the version.

THere is a hack to make all posts to public folders appear as emails but I
have used it so long ago that I don't remember it. Try posting to an
Exchange news group and ask about changing the default message class from
notes to message - I am sure someone there has the fix handy.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, ksierk asked:
