Hello,
I just switched from Outlook Express to Outlook, but still getting mail sent
to Express, what settings I need to do to have all mail sent to Outlook only?

Thanks

Steve

In Outlook Express, delete th settings for your e-mail account
Tools-Accounts-Mail. This will stop Outlook Express from downloading mail
from your mail server.

Or, you can just go into the properties of the accounts... and uncheck the
box that says to include this account when sending and recieving. (I think
it's on the first tab)...also, make sure that under the "Programs" file of
Internet Options...that Outlook is selected as the default email acccount.

Just stop running Outlook Express. It can't connect to the mail server if
you don't run it.

Correct...but then what would you use as a newsreader? or has Outlook added
that somewhere now that I haven't found..?

You can either delete your mail account in Outlook Express, disable the mail
account in Outlook Express from receiving mail or use Outlook Express with
the /newsonly switch.

Or the /outnews switch, which will cause Outlook Express to call itself
"Microsoft Outlook Newsreader".
