Outlook email accounts

Recently I have been unable to use Outlook as my email manager. It has worked
OK previously but I am now receiving an error message 0x80042108 stating,
"Unable to connect to your incoming email server". I have contacted my email
hoster and I can still access my mail via the webmail facility. We have
removed and re-entered the account details without success as the message
still appears. It indicates it can detect email on the server but just can't
retrieve or send new emails via Outlook. I am using Outlook 2003.

Any ideas?
 
It might be a firewall issue. Try telnetting to your pop3 server on port 110.
