With increasing frequency, my PC freezes for maybe 30
seconds after sending an e-mail. It happened in Outlook
2000 as well as 2002 after I upgraded. I have Norton Anti
Virus and keep both it and my other system software up to
date to the best of my knowledge.

I have tried to delete excess stored e-mail messages,
quarantined items from Norton...have run the disk cleanup
and the defrag from the control panel. Any suggestions on
what I can do?

Thanks!

What operating system? If Windows NT/2k/XP, you should be able to look in
your application and system logs to see if anything looks amiss.

If you have instant messaging turned on in Outlook's Tools->Options->Other,
then turn it off or set it to run in the background.

Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.
