I am trying to set up Outlook e-mail templates (.otf) to
use for sending standardized e-mails (this includes
standardized signature, CC list). I've tried setting
these up using the on-line help, but:

1) the result goes into the Word templates folder, not the
Outlook Templates folder shown in the Outlook Today list

2) When using Word as e-mail editor, the .oft file does
NOT show up in the templates list when trying to create a
new e-mail from Word

3) The only way I can get this to work is if I use Windows
Explorer to navigate to the Templates folder and double-
click the .oft file (VERY ineffecient)

Since Outlook today includes a "Templates" folder by
default, I assume that you can save template files there;
however, I've not been able to figure this out (Help files
offer NO help in this regard).

Does anyone out there know how to do this?

Thanks.

You should turn off WordMail first before creating items that you want to
save as .oft template files. You can save them anywhere you want -- e.g. on
the desktkop for quick access.

Judy,

This is EXACTLY what I needed; as usual with MS, it was
right under my nose!

Thanks so much . . .

Rex
