I'm having a problem with the drop-down E-mail addresses.

If I accidentally enter an incorrect address, I can't figure out how to
delete it from the drop-down list. This also happens when people get a
new E-mail address. I have tried deleting the contact, and re-entering
with the correct address....Outlook still retains the orginal
addresses.

How can I delete E-mail address from the drop-down list. Actually, I
would like to modify my system, to delete all drop-downs. This feature
is of no use to me.

Thanks for your help.

To remove an address from the cache, when the lists pops up, move your mouse
over the bad address (so that it's highlighted) and press the delete key.
To remove all cached addresses and start afresh, search for and delete a
file names {yourprofilename}.NK2. You'll have to enable hidden files to
locate it. It should be in
C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

I don't speak for Smiths, and Smiths doesn't speak for me.

Dianne,

You answered my question in your 1/1/03 response to another post I made
on 12/30. Thansk so much (this has been bugging me for some time). I
have evem semt E-male to wrong addresses to obsolete addresses, because
I didn't pick the right "drop-down".

Again Thanks,

Ringmaster
