Outlook e-mail accounts

With outlook express you have the ability to selct which
accounts are regularly checked for mail. I have a number
of accounts, but do not wish to check for mail on them
all the time. In OE I would have deselected "include this
account when syncronising" so when the mail is checked it
only checks those accounst I wish to know about at that
time.

I now use Outlook, but I can find no way of deselecting
mail accounts. If they are in there is seems that
regardless, it will check them each time it is instructed
to do so. Is there any way to change this within outlook
please

having set the two send receive instructions, how do I
select which one is operational at any one time.

I have two settings now, one work and one home. I want
the work one to only collect email form selected accounts
and the home one from others. I had doen this within the
settings, but cannot see how to select which i want at
any one time, home or work
 
If you already have your groups defined, you can choose which one to
send/receive from tools|send/receive. The fly-out menu will include the
groups you have defined.
