Outlook does not recognize last e-mail downloaded, it does it agai

I have been using Microsoft Outlook from past three years and have come to a
problem that my Outlook downloads same e-mails again and again from my ISP,
each time I try to look for new mails. Please advise what needs to be done.

A new mail profile should correct the problem, after re-downloading
everything one final time after creating the new mail profile.
