When I go to delete the Outlook Icon from the desktop, I
get a warning that the icon has special functionality and
asking me if I'm sure.

What is the "special functionality"?

If I do delete it, can I recover it? From the Recycling
Bin? What if the Recyc. Bin has been emptied?

Can it be hidden?

Thanks for all of the help,

Conan Kelly

The "special functions" open the properties for Outlook, rather than just
the shortcut menu that normally opens.

If you delete it, you can recover it from the recycle bin. If it has been
emptied, then you can elect a Detect and Repair of Office and have it
reinstall all shortcuts.
