Outlook Deleting Almost All Messages

Hello,

Outlook XP, Exchange2K.

I have been using Outlook in my present configuration for a while now. I am
using the Junk Senders feature configured to forward messages to Deleted
Items and have probably added about 1000 addresses to it. The problem is
that lately, it has been forwarding almost all messages to Deleted Items
even if the address is not on the Junk Senders list. It is okay because
almost all of the junk mail is going there, but so are almost all of my
other incoming messages. I am getting irritated with this because I am
losing a lot of business email addresses. I know that it is not an Exchange
Issue because I configured the Exchange server. Any ideas on this? Thanks,

Chris,

You may want to scan "Junk Senders.txt" for wildcard characters. I worked
with one customer who had a line containing just the * character. This
caused similar symptoms. If you find an entry that you think might be
causing this problem you can exit Outlook, manually edit the file using
Notepad, and then re-start Outlook.

NOTE: Always make a backup of any file before making changes to it.

Even though none of the ones with the * character looked bad to me. I
deleted them as you suggested and it seems to worked. Thanks,
