Removing an xp user account (with personal data preservation option enabled)
his outlook contacts folder disappeared (outlook.pst file). Trying some
unfruitful system restorations I overwrote oldest images, so last system
image accessible is the most recent (that without deleted account). Someone
knows if outlook.pst file is stored in a HDD memory area different from that
assigned to the system images and how is possible to restore it?

By default, PST files are stored in c:\documents and
settings\username\application data\microsoft\outlook.

(you need to make sure you're looking at hidden/system folders to see this)

I just want to make sure we are talking about an Outlook POP3 mail account
rather than an Exchange Server account, right?

I'm referring to an xp system account (that figure out on the first display
when you begin your work session).
