Outlook Contacts Hotsync with Palm Tungsten E

I have tried it all and cannot get contacts to sync with
my new Palm Tungsten E. Palm support is no help.
 
Since the sync software is theirs, you will need support from Palm....have
you checked your sync settings in hotsync | custom?

Did you ever get this to work? I've been playing with the for over a week... with Palm support... then Chapura... both useless. I'm begining to think it won't work
