Hi there,

When I go to use Outlook, it goes and slowly increases the usage of the Page
File to the point where the machine becomes extremely slow.

The computer otherwise is fine, it's just when I use Outlook from Office XP
that it does this.

I tried starting Outlook Safe Mode and still does the same thing.

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Gordon

Do you have the most recent service packs applied? All applications require
some use of the paging file. Is yours large enough?

does it help if you minimize outlook when not actually using it? Do you have
any addins installed or use antivirus email scanning?

Hi Diane and everyone,

Okay, I uninstalled Norton and it still did the same thing... so I then got
Outlook into "offline" mode right at start up.

I compacted the PST file, then did some checking around and went to the
outbox and found one huge 93 mb file in there.....eeeks, so that was the
cause of the jamming up. Deleted that and took it back online again and lots
better.

I did a SpyBot check and deleted "MarkService" but it came back, then I used
Pest Patrol and Pest Patrol is better in this situation as it deleted Mark
Service permanently.

All's back to normal now and thanks for your input.
