Outlook Connector problems

I can access my email if I go to Hotmail.com, but when I try to get the
messages in Outlook, it asks for my user ID and password, once I enter it, it
asks me again and again, never getting the messages. There is a message that
says "offline", but I can't get it on line.

Make sure you have the latest Outlook Connector, delete the existing account
from Outlook and readd it. Does the behavior change?
 
Sorry, while I did upgrade the Outlook Connector ( why wasn't this part of
the automatic updates?), this did not change anything else.
