Hi all,
Have setup an account on Exchange Server. When I
log on from client m/c & try to setup Outlook 2002 i keep
getting prompted for a password. wWen entered I
get "logon information was incorrect" I've already logged
onto the Win2000 Server with same username & password,
double checked that it's ok & even tried someone else's
account that is working from they're client m/c but keep
getting prompted for password then failed logon. It just
seems to be 2 client m/c's from 15 that have this
problem. Can anyone please help - i'll have no hair left
soon!!!

Thanks In Advance,
Gary

What is the authentication set to on the Advanced tab of the Exchange server
properties? If you set it to none, does it work then?

Gary,
When you setup the Exchange mailbox, did you point it to
your NT account on Domain Controller, and verify that your
NT logon has permissions to the mailbox?

Hi Quentin,
the logon Network Security option is set to
password authentication which should be done when logging
on to Network. I've tried it with the None setting, but
still get prompted with Logon / password when opening
outlook. It has to be something specific to this machine
as when I try to add another user's account, ewhich I've
verified works on other machines, I still get prompted.
Any more ideas? I've re-installed Office XP, deleted then
setup new Profile etc but nothing seems to work.

Regards,
Gary

Hi Milly,
I'm using SBS2000 & I can't find the tab you're
asking for. Every user has been set up in a User's group
which should authenticate e-mail, once logged on with
your Username & password but doesn't for 2 people. I've
check their details & everything seems to be ok on the
server side. I think it's something actually on the
client m/c's themselves as when I try to set up another
profile for a User that I know works on other m/c's -
again I'm prompted for Username & Password. Any more
thoughts?

Regards,
Gary
