Can ANYONE help me with this error message?? I've tried everything from uninstalling, reinstalling, scanning the disk for errors and defragmenting. I'm still getting this error. I have Office 2000 Professional and all the other programs work except for Outlook

Have you run the Help -> Repair function? Have you tried starting
Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe")? If safe mode works then
maybe you have a plug-in that is defective (Tools -> Options -> Other ->
Advanced). Is Outlook the same version as MS Office, or did you install
a later version and am trying to still use an prior version of MS
Office?

Thank Vanguard for your advice. I was able to open Outlook in safe mode, but I'm not quite sure where to look for defective plug-ins. What do I do after I go through Tools to Advanced tab? All office products on my computer are the same version - Office 2000

Now that I have Outlook open, I'll try running the repair function. I did that for the entire computer already and it didn't work, but I'll give it another shot

Thanks
Karen

Hi Vanguard. I tried what you suggested and it's still not working. I think I need to reformat my hard drive and start over. Any other ideas before I try this

Thanks,
Kare
