Outlook caught in restarting loop

WinXP, Outlook 2002 (XP), Exch2003 on Win2003.

I have one user that cannot open his email through Outlook. We have tried
deleting profiles, logging onto other workstaions, even onto a terminal
server. As soon as Outlook starts to open, he gets the error:

Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience. (check) Restart Outlook?

It even does it when I try to open his mailbox with an Admin acct.

He can, however, open OWA nad access his email.

I am thinking it could be some of the few users settings that get saved in
the exchange mailbox are corrupt of broken, but I don't know how to check
that.

Can someone help? I have found nothing even close in the KBs.
