Outlook can not save the password

I have selected the option "Save my password" in the menu: tools --
accounts -- server, but every time I open the Outlook, there is a pop
windown to required to input the password, meanwhile, the "Save my password"
selectbox in this window is unvailable.

Help me!

I have the same problem. I also would like a solution for this. This
problem just came up out of the blue. I already tried the knowledgebase
article with the registry, no success.

Thanks in advance for any input

Don't feel alone. I am having this problem with users who are using laptops,
while connected to network. Generally I have been deleting the profile and
re-creating them. Worked on most laptops til today. Still searching for an
anwer. Did find article 290684 in support section "save password setting not
retained in Outlook"- eager to test this theory out.

Anyone with other suggestions please let me know.
