outlook calendar appointments post to wrong date

I have an issue with the outlook calender that is very frustrating. No
matter if I try to add an appointment myself, or get on in the mail, it
always defaults to the current date, and I am not able to get it to show on
any future date. Even if I try to update it after receipt, no good. Anyone
have any ideas?

Reset the view.
