Okay, I did a search for bypassing the popup the Outlook presents when
sending email on the behalf of someone else. It lead me to Ron de Bruin's
page: http://www.rondebruin.nl/sendmail.htm#Prevent and from there I hit
his CDO link (http://www.rondebruin.nl/cdo.htm#Workbook) and figured out how
to use CDO successfully. Thanks Ron!
However, my manager has security
concerns about using the internet to send email. So I need more information
about this process from those who know CDO.
1. Can CDO email be confined to a company's INTRANET (not INTERNET)?
1a. If not, can it be easily encrypted or sent thru some secure line?
2. I stumbled across this page:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;161833. Would this
work for me; no Outlook security messages and internal (no internet)
routing? It's using Outlook stuff so I'm guessing not...but...?
Thanks. I really would like to get a better understanding and know what my
options are. My VB experience is beginner-to-intermediate level.
