Could an MVP or other expert tell me what I need here insofar as MS .NET
goes. Here's the deal:
Am using WindowsXP-pro, came with Dell PC last year. Also have Office 2002,
and about to upgrade to Office 2003 with Business Contact Manager.
It looks like in add/remove that MS .NET 1.0.3705 is already installed on
PC.
Windows Update says it has a critical update I need to install for MS .NET
1.0...and it's not removable once done.
Separately, the instruction book with the Outlook 2003 Upgrade CD says that
to use Business Contact Manager (a second installation CD), I will 'need' MS
..NET Framework 1.1, and it will offer to install it during installation if I
don't already have it.
Questions are...
-Do I install the MS .NET 1.1 update with Outlook 2003 even though I already
have 1.0?
-Do I also install the MS .NET 1.0 critical update? If so, would it be
before or after installing the Office 2003 update
-What's the difference, will they conflict, will I have any problems?
Thanks for any insights,
George
