This one is driving me mad!

I connect remotely to an IMAP server and my inbox is syncronised with no
problems so I can see all my new messages.

If I click on a message it then downloads the attachment before I can read
the message. This is obviously only a problem if the mail has an attachment
in the first place.

All I want to do is view the message without downloading the attachments as
well. I want to be able to download these if they are applicable to me.
This is annoying if I an CC to a message and the attachment is of no real
concern to me, but the message body is.

Its especially annoying if I click a message with a large attachment by
mistake and then have to wait for the message to download.

Can I control this?

I have OL2003 on a Dell Latitude running Win XP Pro and a broadband
connection. The server has a satallite broadband connection with only
broadband speed for download and not upload (This may explain the download
speed my end)

Thanks

Andy

No. That's the way IMAP works. You can download either the headers or the
entire item, including attachments.
