Outlook Attachements

My son recently upgrade me from outlook express to outlook 2002. In outlook
express when there was a paperclip icon next to an email, i would open the
email and then open the attachement. But outlook 2002 shows a paperclip next
to the email but when i open the email i cant open the attachment. Any help
would be greatly appericated.
 
What kind of attachments are being sent to you? Do you get any error
messages when you try to open the attachments?
