How can I get Outlook 2002 to show up in the dropdown list
for e-mail programs in the internet options of Internet
Explorer. The only option I have is to select Outlook
Express, but I don't use OE, I use Outlook 2002. Thanks.

Have you tried running a repair of Outlook already? Insert your CD, start
setup and choose Repair.

Unfortunately, I don't have the disk. This problem is
with my Outlook at work and it was installed by the
workstation folks :-(. They just recently installed the
newer version, and ever since then, I haven't been able to
use my Palm. I'm pretty sure that the problem is related
to this issue of Internet Explorer not recognizing Outlook.

When a mail application is installed, it adds some information to this
registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\

This is where IE gets the info to l;ist in the drop-down box on the Programs
tab. You can't really add an entry manually, the installation should do that
for you. If it didn't, I think you need to have your IT folks run the
install again.

Installing Office shouldn't kill your Palm, unless you're running Windows
NT/2000/XP and they took away your local administrator rights on your
machine. You must be a local administrator for a Palm device to use HotSync
on an NT-based machine.

I do have Windows 2000, but they supposedly gave me
adminstrative rights on my machine. I guess I'll see if
they can come back and reinstall Outlook. Thanks.
