Outlook and Palm

While hot syncing outlook and my palm m100 I get this
error message: Outlook has encountered a problem and
must close. Unable to communicate with Outlook OLE....
then Hot sync operation hangs.
In one of the error message boxes MS suggested the
solution: upgrade Outlook Office. I downloaded that from
here:

http://office.microsoft.com/home/office.aspx?
AssetID=FX010419551033

and installed it. Still get the same error message. I
have not been able to find a reference to this in the KB,
and hope someone here might have some help. Thanks. Jack
