Outlook and AOL

I'd like to start using Outlook. I'm on AOL. How do I
start writing my emails in Outlook and send thru AOL? I
tried to send some tonight and it did not work.
our message did not reach some or all of the intended
recipients. below is the message I received.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

No transport provider was available for

Unfortunately AOL does not use POP or SMTP mail but has its own protocols
and is therefore incompatible with Outlook and Outlook Express. You have
two options... change ISPs to one that does use standard email transport so
you can use Outlook or keep using AOL and its own email software.

if you do a search on Google, there are one or two third-party programs that
will do this - you cannot do it without, unfortunately.
