I installed Norton antispam to limit e-mail spam. I had
it working or so I thought, but when I went back to check
mail, it could not fine the file and started a new one,
WITH NO ADDRESSES or SAVED messages. Any idea where they
went and if I can restore them? I tried to use system
restore, but it is unable to restore. Fine, now another
problem with XP home. Thanks, in advance, Lyle

"another problem with XP home"!!!
DUH! Are you really that stupid!! YOU just said "I installed Norton antispam
to limit e-mail spam". Now you think the "I" stands for Microsoft?????? Go

That's a little harsh.

I don't know how NAS works, but it sounds like you have created a new PST
(Personal Folders file). Enable showing hidden files and folders (Control
Panel>Appearance and Themes>Folder Options>View. Check the "Show hidden
files and folders" radio button.) and search your hard drive for "*.pst".
If you find more than one, the one you're not using is probably the one
containing your old information. Use Outlook's File>Open to open it again.

Sorry,
People who want to blame someone else for their own actions just irritate
the (*&&^%#$! out of me. Had this person not put that one line in this post,
I would have gladly spent my time to help them find an answer. Maybe I'm
taking this too personal, like getting sued for planting a tree in my front
yard that a drunk (.19) lost control and hit destroying his sports car! I
still think people should not blame the blameless.
