Outlook access on 2 computers ???

Hello all,

I'm currently running Outlook 2002 (Office XP) on my Desktop in my home
office with XP Home as the OS. I'll soon be taking this desktop to a new
office and purchasing a laptop for home use. This new laptop will have XP
Home as the operating system as well and will likely have Outlook 2000
(unless I purchase another newer version of Outlook).

My question is:
Is it possible to have the same access to my Outlook folders (inbox, sent
items, contacts, calendar, etc...) on both my home laptop and my desktop
that'll be in my office?

I'll be working from my new office most of the time, but will still work
from home on occasion and will need access to my Outlook folders. What is
the best way (cheapest and easiest) for me to accomplish this?

Repeating ...

Keep it simple by having one Outlook file.

Ideas-
- Use Remote Access in XP to get into your Office desktop machine.
- Don't use the desktop machine. Rely 100% on laptop, even when in office.

Idea #1 sounds good. How can I learn more about getting into my office
desktop from my home laptop (using remote access)????

Idea #2 won't work for me as I'll leave my laptop at home for the wife to
use during the time I'm at the office (most of the time anyway). The reason
I'm getting a laptop is so we'll have a computer at home now that I'll be
taking the desktop to my new office. With that said, I will still use the
laptop for work sometimes while at home.

A less elegant, but possibly easier solution would be to
set the laptop Outlook up identically to the Desktop and
then export the Desktop Outlook Personal Folders to a
CDRW to carry home at night (or using Remote Access
directly to the computer) and to reverse the process at
home to take the updates into the office. I do this
across a LAN at work so there is a Desktop setup
mirroring my laptop. That way, if my laptop fails, I can
pick up right at the Desktop at the office with no
problem and vice versa.
