Outlook 2007 will not send message

Message stays in outbox and will not send, have received plenty of test
messages. There are no error messages. I receive messages OK and can send
replys, but cannot send new messages or forward received ones.

Any suggestions to resolve thi sissue? Many thanks
 
What happens when you try?
Any error messages?
Which mail account type are you using?
Is this the only account that you have configured?

Do you have a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook?
Uninstall this integration part of your virus scanner and try again; you'd
still be sufficiently protected by your on-access scanner part of the virus
