Indexing is complete on all mailboxes. Searching works, however...
on a windowsXP machine, when a search is initiated, I can see the found
messages as they populate the main window. After a few seconds, either the
search finishes and I get my results, OR all the messages disappear and I get
a message indicating that no matches were found. I can run the same search
using the same word and it seems to cause the disappearing effect about 25%
of the time.
On a Vista machine, the results come up but I can make the same thing happen
by highlighting all the found messages (shift & pagedown). After repeatedly
pressing PageDown (and there are no more messages to scroll through), the
selected items disappear and I get the message that no messages were found.
I'm finding that this seems to only happen when the result set is large (over
100 items).
Has anyone run into this type of behavior? I've tried reindexing many
times, and used the OUTLOOKSEARCHTOOL.EXE to verify that my pst files were
indexed.
