I have an email stuck in mu out box-- have tried deleting, then disabling my
antivirus and software, still not able to send or delete, have tried to open
it and it says it can't be opened because it is in process of sending-- tried
to drag it out-- it's stuck! Does anybody know a way to get rid of a stuck
email? Many thqnks.

Hello-- am not Aussieronnie, just same problem. First, thank you for your
FAST and thorough response. I tried methods 1 thru 4 without luck, but am
not sure I handles methods 3 and 4 correctly, also tried the first article,
Tools>Send/Receive>Download Headers in This Folder-- still have the darn
email stuck in the outbox.

On method 3-- after creating a new pst file and setting ity as default
delivery location, you say the original pst file will show up in the
secondary set of folders-- I do see an empty Outbox on left. The Inbox above
it is empty also-- does this mean I did the pst approach incorrectly?

Sooo sorry to be high maintenance-- I am not very savvy and again thank you!

On method 3, did you also reconnect your original pst-file? File-> Open->
Outlook Data File...
You should now see 2 folder sets. 1 is completely empty and the second one
holds all your data and the Outbox containing your stuck email.
