The only way I can keep OL 2007 from crashing every time I use it is to run
it in safe mode? How cank I fix this problem?

Start by going to Tools | Trust Center and disabling all add-ins except those that come with Office 2007.

Already did that...in both Safe Mode and the regular version. Have even gone
so far as to disable them one at a time to see if an add-in could be
isolated.

Send me the crash information via email (just copy and paste the entire
event). You can find them in the Event Viewer. At the time of a crash,
you'll see an error event from Microsoft Office 12. Right after it
timewise (above in the event viewer), there is an information event from
MS Office 12 that mentions the word bucket followed by a number.
Is it always the same number? Or different ones? What is listed as
source for the crash?
Then in Start, Run type "msinfo32" and use File, Save to generate a
report. Please ZIP that report up and attach it to the email.

Thanks,

Patrick Schmid

E-mail on the way. No Bucket numbers on any of the events...Is there any
chance I have selected the wrong options on installation? Upgrade vs Custom?
et al?

I gave up. I uninstalled OL 2007. Then, I called Microsoft Office support
because I kept getting error messages on installing Office 2003. They sent
me to the "support.microsoft.com" website and had me enter 295823 in the
"Search Support KB" box. That brought up the "patch cannot be opened" error.
Clicking on that brought up a fix dated 7/27/06 by clicking on "msicuu2.exe".
I am back to the old system and am happy.
