Outlook 2007 indexing is incomplete

I have Vista Business, & Office 2007.

Outlook uses POP. Before I upgraded I had no problem using the LookOut
addin to search for things in my mailbox.

Now I have upgraded to 2007, it seems as though the indexing has hung at a
certain point. Searching finds old mail or calendar items, but fails to find
items from the last few weeks. It says that "search results may be
incomplete" and when I click for more infor it says that 1400 items remain
to be indexed, but that number never gets smaller - in fact it seems to get
bigger as new items arrive.

I can't see anything obviouslty relevant in the event log.

I have unticked my mailbox is the list of items to be indexed, closed
Outlook, restarte and reticked it. That didn't help.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if yours was resolved, but I also have Vista Bus Ult, and
Office 2k7 ult. My outlook went for two weeks before I could finally
trust the indexing, and not get the 'you may not see everything'
warning. My PST is also 5.5 Gigs, which I would attribute the lengthy
delay too. Although I have been VERY frustrated by not being able to
locate a particular email for 2 weeks, being able to find it now
almost instantaneouly makes the wait well worth it.

Does any one know of a way (besides deleting my emails) to expedite
the indexing for others in the same situation? Would your solution
apply in or out of an Exchange scenario?

Hope this helps,

Michael Roark
