Outlook 2007 Error Message-trying to restore back up from disc

I had to purchase a new laptop after frying my 6 month old one. I cannot
wait for the service department to return it to me. Luckily, I back up
Outlook each week.

I am past frustration now, I tried to use Outlook 2003 from Student/Teacher
with my Vista OS. I could not restore files from my back up disc. I receive
the following error message, "The command line argument is not valid. Verify
the switch you are using." I searched this site to see if anyone had this
problem but with no luck. Can someone advise how to restore the back up
files so I won't have to spend a fortune to get them onto my laptop?

thanks

What backup utility did you use? How do you try to restore the files? What
command are you using?
This looks more like a backup issue than an Outlook problem...?
