Hi there,

Just installed Office 2007 Pro on a clean install of XP Pro and transferred
my Outlook 2003 .pst file to Outlook 2007 but I have lost all my separate
Contact Folders, we still have all the contacts but they are not in the
folders they were in Outlook 2003, is there some way of fixing this.

In Outlook 2003 we had a Backup tool as an add-on is there such a thing with
Outlook 2007 and Office 2007?

Many thanks, Tim.

How did you "transfer" your PST file? Had you done so correctly, you would
have lost nothing. You have no need for a backup tool. Transferring Outlook
data is simple: Copy the PST file and open it in your new installation. If
you do anything else, you will lose data. It will be interesting to see what
you did instead.

Hi there,

I did transfer the .pst file but it did not bring in my pop3 E-mail settings
which I could before via the Office 2003 save settings tool.

I have found my Contacts folder I was looking in the mail folder and needed
to click on the 'all folders' icon so that problem is solved.

As for backing up the .pst file in Outlook 2003 there was an add-on that
would automatically backup your .pst file to any drive you set on close
down, very useful if you had a system failure, well I liked it.

Finally I've lost nothing apart from having to setup all my pop3 E-mail
accounts.

Many thanks, Tim.
