Do you have the mailbox cache'd if so have you checked the Tools . send &
Recieve > define send and recieve groups are and made sure the settings are
set for online and offline?

Hi all,

When I hit send on a new message, the mail just sits in the outbox until I
click send /receive.
I've checked 'Tools' > 'Options' > and there is a tick in send immediatley
when connected.
Connection is via a LAN so is on all the time.

Any suggestions appreciated!

I take you have checked that you are "Working Online" and that outlook isn't
set to "Work Offline"

Either way double check in the bottom right corner of outlook for a
connection status it will say one of the following:-

Disconnected
Offline
Connected.

If you are working offline you are still able to send emails by clicking
"Send & Recieve" but after this process will revert to working offline.

Thanks for the reply!
I've checked that already and everything is OK there.
Groups are defined, 'include the selected account', 'send mail items' and
'receive mail items' are all ticked.
I can compare settings on a machine that works and there appears to be no
difference between the two. Would there be something buried in the
registry?
