Doug

I am having severe performance issues with the
transactions in the BCM portion of Outlook 2003.
Examples: Opening an account 33 sec, Opening a business
contact 18 sec, etc. I am also experiencing the issue
noted in the MS Knowledge Base #828246 which is most
likely related and the documented fix does not work. I
notice that when using the offending transactions that an
instance of sqlservr takes most of the CPU and the
problem is most likely related to this. I also see two
instances of sqlservr running, one does not seem to be
doing anything. Has anyone seen this problem, and more
importantly found a solution?

Doug,

I have very similar issues and in part relate to the
number of contacts I have in BCM. Every task asociated
with BCM jumps my CPU to 100% for some period of time.

Got nowhere with the MicroSoft triage team. Their based
in Candada - and as far as I can tell, are too far
removed to reconcile what seems to be a systemic design
flaw.

I've simply pared down my contact list from 2000 to 300
and I'm surviving at this juncture - although I haven't
tried something as heady as a mail-merge. I suspect that
would take forever and so am not even attemtping it.

Please let me know if you've had any success in getting
this resolved.

Brad
