I have installed Office 2003 Pro and I am having a problem with Outlook
closing. When I close, it appears to do so. When I look in the right side
of the Windows XP Pro Taskbar I see it still there. When I attempt to open
Outlook again it will not. I then looked in the Task Manager/Processes and
see two Outlook.exe's running. When I close them the Icons will go away. I
can then open Outlook but the same thing happens when I close it. For some
reason Outlook remains running.

Please Help
Thanks,Ray

I was having the same issue - I am not sure what this is
about - I had an additional spam program workin with it
called spamcatcher that just mucked it all up - I got rid
of that and it seems to work better - It is still always
open in the taskbar though. I am not sure how to close
it completely when you close the program other thatn to
go right click it - I guess this wasnt very helpful

John I believe it is something like what you are saying. I believe the issue is either AV software integrating with Outlook 2003 and doing a bum job of it; or COM; or Addins.
