i just reverted to office 2002 because I have had the following problem with
the new office, specifically outlook 2003.

(i did keep a ghost mirror, if someone figures it out.)

when outlook opens it puts its new "orange" icon on the task manager.

when outlook closes the icon remains and the send/receive function
continues.

how can i get it (and send/receive) to go away when I close outlook 2003?

thanks in advance.

Richard Boris.

are you using any addins, including active sync or stamps.com? anything that
accesses outlook's data will cause it to remain open.

disable it and see if it helps. if so, do you have the very latest build?
