I followed the "Microsoft Office Assistance: Share and open other people's
folders" instructions but there seems to be a last step missing. The
instructions do not mention how to set up the Permissions (or whatever they
are called) on the other User or other Reviewer's PC, which I understand is
why the above instructions do not work for me. Can someone please explain to
me how to correctly set up the other User or Reviewers PC in order that
Sharing one Outlook 2003 folder works me?

thanks - bonmac

Right-click the folder, choose Properties, then switch to the Permissions
tab. Note that sharing works only on Exchange mail.boxes.

Sue,

I am obviously missing a step somehow or other. I just don't know where. I
have 4 times now deleted everything and started over from scratch with no joy
yet.

I followed all the steps under Microsoft Office Assistance>Outlook 2003>
Sharing Information - "Share and open other people's folders" - including
going to the other persons/users/reviewers PC and repeating the same
instructions there, starting with the top folder, Mailbox - MyName and
clicked Sharing. I did the same to the shared folder "SHARED WORD TIPS".

Under Permissions, I can see the names of the two persons/users on our
network that I have added. I just do not see anything on their PC that shows
the "SHARED WORD TIPS" folder on my PC. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
It is so annoying. In Groupwise this kind of thing was so easy it took
maybe 10 minutes tops.

thanks - bonmac

The other person needs to add the MyName mailbox to the settings for their
Exchange service. They should go into in Tools | E-mail Accounts, brings up
the properties for the Exchange Server service, and on the Advanced tab,
adds the mailbox.
