Help. Have tried everything I could think of and find in the help files.
New Machine: Outlook 2003
Old Machine: Outlook 2000
Copied .pst file to Zip disk
Put zip in new machine and tried importing.
The calender came across OK - Actually ended up with two identical
One called "Calender", the other "calender in personal folders:
I Only need one of these.
Contacts: After numerous tries, I deleted all contacts on new machine,
created one phony entry, and tried importing again.
As before, the sub-folders show up, but even after checking each
one to be used as address book, there seems to be nothing "inside" it.
Please help to resolve.

Thank-you. I now have calender, contacts and tasks.
I had an new original outlook.pst which I renamed outlook_1.pst
I copied the old .pst in the proper folder.
I renamed one of the two personal folders "not wanted"
(I couldn't access the other one to rename it)
After transfering a few e-mails, I removed "not wanted".
I'm not sure what I did then, but all of a sudden I TWO IDENTICAL
personal folders - Neither of which I can rename. Comes up with message
"the operation failed. An object could not be found.
What did I do wrong and how do I fix it'

Overwriting a PST is not what the article suggested. Doing so only creates a
corrupt profile.
You will need to create a new profile from scratch.

I type in profile in the help box.
All that comes up is how to set up new e-mail accounts.
Assuming that is correct ( I wouldn't know why), I'm then instructed to
go to control panel, double click on user Accounts - So far so good.
Then: click on Mail. There is no "mail" to click on.
What am I missing now.
Do I need to re-install Outlook?
