I'm trying to configure a Search Folder in Outlook 2003 to find only e-mails
from (or to)outside this company domain (external e-mails). Company is
Windows 2003 DCs, Exchange 2003.

Since, the FROM field does not actually include the @domain_name.com, my
query to Find
Field=From,
Condition=DOESN'T CONTAIN,
Value=@our_domain_name.com
Just doesn't work, any ideas or tricks?

Thank you

you can either do to or from but need to use the first tab of the filter
dialog, not the advanced tab or the predefined search folder.

Diane, thank you.

Doing this as you mentioned I can find all e-mails From our domain, but I am
trying to find all NOT from our domain. If I enter [email protected],
this finds all those from the microsoft domain, but again I am trying to get
everything from any and all other domains, not just one domain at a time.

On this first filter tab, how would I include into this query "NOT"
From= our_domain.com
or
"NOT" To=our_domain.com
?

Still can't create the proper query to return everything except internal
e-mails...

Thank you again.

if you use exchange server, try from = @ - exchange doesn't use @ in the
from field. if you don't use exchange (or if the @ one doesn't work), use
rules to set a category and enter the company domain as an exception then
search folder looks for the category.
