I have a customer that has the current issue: Outlook 2003 can no longer
attach to the Exchange 2000 Server as a MAPI Client (on the same LAN). When
creating the profile the Find Name feature works, so it seems to be finding
the server okay.
The error message generated is: "Unable to open your default e-mail folders.
The Microsoft Exchange Server is not available. Either there are network
problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server is down for maintenance."
I've checked the Event Logs on both the client and server machines, but
don't see anything directly related to this issue.
This is only an issue with Outlook 2003. Outlook XP (2002) and Outlook 2000
both work fine.
I've done several web searches, but haven't found much info on this
particular error message/issue. I found one guy who'd posted about the issue
some time ago, but no one ever responded to him.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any assistance!
