When trying to use a program (DtSearch) that indexes and
searches email messages - great program by the way - I
get the following error:
"800401f3: "Invalid class string" Outlook Application
could not initialize Outlook Item: Invalid Outlook Object
supplied"

- Never had any problems with previous versions of
Outlook.

Can anyone please up me?

Have you checked with the writers of the external program to see if they
have a version compatible with Outlook 2003?

Hi Milly, thanks for your input.

Yes, I have inquired with the developers about this
issue. They suggested downloading a patch that should
have corrected the problem, but it hasn't. My next step
is to "To generate a debug log of an indexing problem in
dtSearch 6" - But, for some reason I think it's an issue
with my Outlook configuration.

I'm not sure if there is any relation, but I also get the
following error message when going to "Outlook Today"

A run time error
Line: 324
Error: Class not registered

Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks again for your assistance, I really appreciate it.

Regards,
Jamie
