Just installed some XP PCs with Outlook 2003 (into Exchange 5.5).

One Outlook 2003 user opens a colleague's mailbox as an additional
mailbox but the Inbox does not display properly - just shows lots of
headers with "None" displayed and the reading pane is empty. Unable to
click on the headers.

Can access the colleague's mailbox from other PCs (both Outlook 2003 and
2000) with no problem.

I've removed and replaced the additional mailbox, re-booted the
offending PC etc but without any effect.

Would appreceiate any guidance on what to try next!

Thanks

I sounds like a corrupt view... Did you open outlook using the /cleanviews
switch? (It will delete all custom views.)

Also, avoid opening the mailbox using both Outlook 2000 and 2003. There are
known issues in doing so - if you can't avoid it, don't do anything with
Rules - either create, change (or update), or reload (X the dialog) in
Ol2000. Views also cause problems because some features in Views aren't
supported in Ol2000.

Thank you - the /cleanviews switch worked.

We do have a mixed 2000/2003 setup with our admin people sharing some
"central" mailboxes. Can you point me in the direction where I can find
the more information on the "known issues"?

In the meantime we'll check the rules.

Tom
