Outlook 2003 -> problem sending "read receipt"

Hello,

I am having problems when someone is asking for a "read receipt".

In the "Tracking Options" I have selected "Ask before sending a
response" and because of that when such request comes up, I can choose
"Yes" or "No".

The problem is that when I press "Yes" (to send a response), for some
reason I am not aware of, the response is not sent. The person is not
receiving a response and it does not show up in the "Sent" folder
either (I did not modify the settings to place it somewhere else - I
saw that option).

I can send and receive emails without problems so there is no setup problem.

Can someone give me a hint here?
